School, writing and practice in the perspective of performative turn

The main topic of the article is an inspiration brought by performative turn in anthropological research of early school literacy practices. The purpose of this article is to: (1) show that, contrary to the classic literacy theory, writing is not only an instrument of the intellect responsible for the specific way of conceptualization of the world, language and self. It is also a kind of tool of social disciplining of the body: the acquisition of certain bodily and perceptual features; (2) writing is not just a tool for reproducting of specific knowledge/power relationship, but it is also an instrument of creative, individual improvisation in cultural reality.
